Industrial Tube is a privately owned company formed in New Zealand in 1985 under the visionary leadership of its founder Peter Green.
From its Hamilton city manufacturing base - just 120 km south of Auckland - Industrial Tube is strategically placed to logistical freight networks and major shipping ports. This enables prompt and cost-effective service to its sister companies in Australia.

Products
Precision ERW Carbon Steel Tube
We provide a full range of traditional ERW products between 12mm and 101mm round. Available in bright mild steel, galvanised and aluminised coatings and other specialty materials, ITMA manufactures welded steel tube in a range of customised tube sizes and shapes, including round, square, rectangle, flat-sided oval, and elliptical. Our quality systems ensure all our ERW carbon steel tubing undergoes a range of testing throughout the manufacturing process to meet both Australian and British specifications.
Stainless Steel Hygienic Tube
Manufactured to the AS 1528.1 standard for Stainless Steel Tube for food processing and hygienic applications. The standard specifies requirements and tests for welded austenitic Stainless Tube. Industrial Tube QA management processes include full traceability, dimension and tolerance inspections, weld colour management and buff polishing. Hygienic TubeTM is manufactured from Stainless Cold-Rolled coil strip ASTM A240M in grade 304L or 316L.
CNC Mandrel Tube Bending
With capacity up to 90mm in diameter, our three axis CNC machines can achieve extremely accurate and complex tube bending. Supported internally with a mandrel during the bending process, our approach ensures minimal deformation and a high quality, not to mention precise, result. We are also able to bend tube that has been previously laser cut, should you need components such as holes, scallops or angle cut ends.
Rotary Axis Tube Laser Cutting
Suitable for both small batches and large runs, our dedicated rotary axis laser cutting machine is perfect for thin wall round tubes up to 120mm in diameter. Using an automatic process, from the selection of stock lengths to the measurement of tubing, part programming of the rotary axis laser is done through CAD CAM software linked with SolidWorks or similar 3D model drawing packages. This ensures complex parts can be processed quickly, easily and accurately.
Robotic Welding
Consisting of a central robot with two loading areas, our state-of-the-art Robotic Welding Cell ensures high production weld quality, capacity and repeatability – one part is welded while the other is loaded. Our Robotic Welding Cell allows for welding of assemblies of up to 2.1m x 1.2m x 2.8m in cubic volume, with parts as large as 4.8m long. With max welded part weight up to 500kg, precision and consistency is guaranteed.
Precision Cutting Deburring
Tolerating both round and square tubes of a minimum 12mm size, our precision cutting and brush deburring services produce clean square and accurate cuts at affordable prices. If your tubular parts require burr free ends, our wire brush deburr can cut tubes to provide a smooth, slightly rounded cut end.
Tapered, Swaging and Telescoping Tube
Manipulating tube size and shape is made easy with our rotary hammering process, standard swaging and telescopic tube calculations. Depending on your requirements we can taper tubes to a variety of standard dies or customised to your specifications. If you require expansion or reduction, choose from our standard swaging dies or let us know the sizing you need. For telescopic tubes, we will ensure a wall thickness suitable for a reasonable amount of clearance.
